A rhyming blog recap of a fun new years.

Dana and I wanted to see who could drink a 26 the quickest.

But you all know we’re not the thickest?

Party started off classy and tame.

Then everybody drank shots poured by D-wayne.

Alcohol kicked in and heads started to spin.

We wanted to then smoke weed. Unfortunately Curtis disagreed.

Someone knocked over the water ornament. Definitely wasn’t me.

Teeheehee.

Group discussion in Michelle’s room. That was fun.

Oh the drama. When will it be done?

Dana shook a bottle of champagne. One spray is all it took.

Michelle cleaned up the mess. Debora was not impressed.

Kate drove the drunks to the hose.

While Jessica continued to doze.

Nicole was at the bar. Her and Dana showed their appreciation to Kate by mooning many a car.

We found ourselves at Alex’s house. Were we ate shreddies, and I heard Alex’s mom whisper “what a souse”.

More mooning took place on Lenore, fireworks galore.

All was calm by the end of the night, especially Jessica who was out like a light.

Right and Wrong.

Q. Is it right to go around in a circle naming all possible racial and religious slurs you know simply for fun or for lack of anything else to talk about.

Q. Is it worth standing up and putting your foot down when people use these terms liberally on a daily basis without consequence.

Q. Why do people choose to use these words in the first place?

Nobody is perfect; I will admit to have used racial and religious slurs at one time, never ever with conviction. However, I see it almost everyday coming from people who are smart enough to know where these terms originated and why they can be so hurtful to the people they are directed at. I realize that most of what is said is in good fun, and the people that may say those words would never do that in front of the people affected by it. Why do it at all, what does it gain you besides a really cheap laugh.

On a lighter note,

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Cool Song? Or Not.

Attention Please. I added a new song to the mp3 player. It was on the radio a while back, it’s catchy No doubt. Haha.

Stop This Train - John Mayer

If you haven't already noticed I placed a mp3 player on the right. Try it out.

This is a song off of his new album Continuum.
Here are the lyrics in case you are deaf ;)

No, I'm not colorblind
I know the world is black and white
I try to keep an open mind
But I just can't sleep on this tonight

Stop this train
I want to get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly, won't someone stop this train?

Don't know how else to say it
I don't want to see my parents go
One generation's length away
From fighting life out on my own

Stop this train
I want to get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
But honestly, won't someone stop this train?

So scared of getting older
I'm only good at being young
So I play the numbers game
To find a way to say that life has just begun

Had a talk with my old man
Said "help me understand"
He said "turn sixty-eight
You renegotiate"

"Don't stop this train
Don't for a minute change the place you're in
Don't think I couldn't ever understand
I tried my hand
John, honestly we'll never stop this train"

Once in awhile, when it's good
It'll feel like it should
And they're all still around
And you're still safe and sound
And you don't miss a thing
Till you cry when you're driving away in the dark
Singing

Stop this train
I want to get off
And go home again
I can't take the speed it's moving in
I know I can't
Cause now I see I will never stop this train

Disillusioned

I have said what I needed to say. That is all.

Uh Oh.

If this guy ever takes power we are in allot of trouble. If he does I would suggest fake baking to look as dark as possible.

Frank the Tank.

This weekend I got drunk a total of three times (for the record I’m not proud of it). Friday after school, then again Friday night, and Saturday night albeit ad hoc, kind of a spur the moment thing. Today is Sunday and I feel like a sack of rubbish. However I am still in a very good mood. My head, back, and ego hurts a little bit after making an ass out of myself Saturday night. I guess we are all entitled to have those weekends sooner or later.

I would like to thank Dana for giving me a ride home, because I’m pretty sure he could have dropped me off at some random house and I would have thought it was my own. I then probably would have attempted to break in to that house then get arrested and end up in drunk tank for the night with a large black/native man named bubba/flying bear moccasin rabbit too too. Luckily this was not the case.

Details to Entirety.

Have you ever stopped to think about inanimate objects; although lifeless they are yet still in some way connected to another human being at the other end of the scope. For example the clothes you wear the car you drive all were in one way linked to a man, woman or even child who put their work into making these objects so they can feed themselves or perhaps their family. I wonder what stories they have to tell or experiences they’ve been through.

It is very upsetting to hear about the thousands of rapes and deaths in Africa but I can only imagine it is truly horrific to personally experience something like that first hand. After all these are men, women and children that are suffering they are not just statistics, they are human beings just like us who feel pain in the same way we do. I was watching a CNN program a little while ago about the brutality that goes on against women in Congo. They had said hundreds of new rapes occur every week, but only 10 soldiers and militants have been convicted of rape since 2002. That’s because it is the soldiers that are committing these selfish acts, they are the ones with the authority, the guns.

I think most of us will agree that the emotions we can feel as humans will always seem to be immense at the time and feel larger and more important than anything else in the world. Maybe sometimes we need to take a step back and look at ourselves in a more holistic fashion, that way ever little crack in our life’s won’t seem so big in comparison to others who have suffered far worse.

Some might say does any one of us really matter in the grand scheme of the universe. However small we might be in this universe we do have purpose, and that purpose is dependent in those others that depend on you. We live for each other, our families, friends, and that special someone who loves you as much as you them.

Sometimes life can be overwhelming and at times disheartening, but I know goodness will never be outweighed.
